MAVENT 2006 - Yes, it's that time of year again! This year, we have something different from the usual Mavent Advent Calendar. For 2006 we have something much more interactive - a Mavent Grotto where everyone can take part! Everyday, Mavent Grotto forum organiser,Yavanna, will pose a trivia question for all members... and everyday, just as with a real Advent Calendar there will be a little surprise prize to win behind each door - Or rather, in this case, 'behind' the answer to each question! If you haven't stopped by the forum for some time, please come and join us for the party - where goodwill (and a little virtual Christmas 'spirit') can be shared with all Mavericks fans! After all, We Need a Little Christmas... and with that theme in mind, is also the name of the Mavent Grotto forum! Enjoy, and have fun! http://www.the-mavhouse.com/forum/ And The Winners Are...

News Update: Both Robert and Paul have been keeping busy, lending their talents to a number of fresh and exciting new projects - Including a new band called 'Limberjack' a raw sounding mix of music described best by front man Matt King, who once called Limberjack's sound as "Somewhere between O’ Brother Where art thou and Marilyn Manson" - Whatever "the Hell it is" the guys aren't merely experimenting with music, but are changing the rules and performing real songs about real issues that people don’t like talking about. Check out the website for song samples and more info here http://www.myspace.com/limberjackAnd of course, not forgetting the fun music of The Hillbilly Allstars - Robert, Paul, Chuck Mead (BR549) and Mark Collie form the band member line-up. The Mavericks: Coast to Coast - Following their successful tour of the UK, which concluded with an onstage 'party' at Brighton, The Mavericks didn't allow the dust settle before commencing their US leg of the tour - no green, green grass of home grew under their feet as they rocked their way State to State, generating an energy that enveloped and captivated their audience in true Mavericks fashion. That same energy continued through 2003 and took Miami by storm as the band perfomed at the Bayfront Park Amphitheater on New Year's Eve - which actually marked a ten year anniversary since they last played at Miami Beach on New Year's Eve, 1993! |
